اختیار iḵẖtiyār A (inf. viii. of خیر) s. m. Choice, will, option, election; authority, power. اختیار کرنا iḵẖtiyār karnā, To approve of, to adopt, to choose. اختیار مین هونا iḵẖtiyār meṅ honā, To be in the power of, or dependant on.

اجهلنا ujhalnā S̱. (उत् and जल Water) 1. v. n. To flow or be poured from one vessel into ano- ther. 2. v. a. To throw or pour quickly from one vessel into another.

انما inna-mā A adv. Indeed, truly.

اخلاط aḵẖlāt̤ A s. plur. (of خلط ḵẖilt̤) The hu- mours of which the blood is composed in the bodies of animals.

آوا āwā H s. m. A potterʼs kiln.

آنهون ānihauṅ S̱. v. fut. tense 1st pers. sing. of آننا To bring.

ارمغان armag̠ẖān P or armug̠ẖān, s. m. Present, rarity, curiosity.

اکهاڙا akhāṛā H s. m. A palæstra or place for wrestling, a scene, any place of assembly, a court or circus. اندر کا اکهاڙا indra kā akhāṛā, Indraʼs court.

اٿکانا aṭkānā H (caus. of اٿکنا) v. a. To stop, to prevent, to hinder, restrain, detain, coerce.

اجنبي ajnabī A adj. Foreign, strange, un- known (person).
