ماچا māchā मंच S̱. s. m. 1. A large bedstead or platform. 2. A frame, or stage on which they sit to drive away birds, &c. from corn- fields. ماچا توڙ māchā-toṛ, adj. 1. A lazy person who never stirs from his bed. 2. A kind of soldier among the Rājpūts, very indo- lent and much addicted to opium, but active and brave when roused. H. P. ماچه خر mācha-ḵẖar, A stupid foolish fellow.

متحرم mutaḥarrim A (part. act. V. of حرم Heb. ) adj. Revered, respected, prohibited, un- lawful.

مزرع mazraﻌ A (noun of place from زرع) s. m. A field sown or prepared for sowing, corn-field.

مفت muft P adv. Gratuitously, gratis, for no- thing, acquired without cost or labour, given away without return or benefit. (substantively) What is useless or unprofitable. مفت بر muft- bar, Taking away for nothing or without making a return. مفت مين muft meṅ, Gratis, for nothing.

مضرت maẓarrat A (inf. of ضرر Heb. ) s. f. Detriment, damage, injury.

مکرمت makramat A (from کرم) s. f. Honour, glory, nobleness, respectability, generosity, grace, beneficence.

مرد marad A s. Obstinacy, perverseness.

ملخ malaḵẖ P s. m. A locust. H. S. ملدل mal-dal, Rubbing, grinding.

مداخل madāḵẖil A s. plur. (of مدخل) Income, revenue.
