لاد lād H s. f. 1. Load. 2. Bowel. لاد پهاند lād- phānd, s. f. Loading and packing. A. P. لادن lādan (Gr. *la/danon) s. m. Ladanum, a resinous substance exuding from the leaves and branchlets of the Cistus creticus.

لنگوٿي langoṭ-ī P. s. f. A cloth worn between the legs to conceal the privities. (A bit of cloth about two feet long and six or eight inches broad, passed between the legs, and the ends tucked in before and behind to the tasma or dūʼālī. Qanoon-e-islam).

ليوا lewā S̱. s. m. 1. (from لينا) Taker. 2. (from लेप) Plaster, that which is spread on the out- side of a new pot. 3. Udder.
