لولا lolā H s. m. A suppository, a kind of solid clyster.

لپکا lapkā H s. m. 1. A snatch. 2. Nimbleness. 3. A bad custom or habit. Mīr says: اپني توجـﮩان آنکهـ لڙي پهر وهين ديکهو آينه کو لپکا هي پريشان نظري کا Upnī to jahāṅ ānkh laṛī phir wahīṅ dekho; āʼīne ko lapkā hai pareshān-naz̤arī kā. Where I first fell in love, there you will see me; (I am not like) the mirror (which) is in the habit of casting its glances in all directions.

ليپ लेप lep S s. m. Plaster, ointment.

لجابان lajjā-bān S̱. (for लज्जावान्) adj. Ashamed, abashed.

لـﮩکانا lahkānā H (causal of لـﮩکنا) v. a. 1. To warble, to quaver. 2. To cause to shine or glitter. 3. To blow up a fire.

لنگ lung P s. m. A cloth worn round the loins with the end passed between the thighs and tucked in behind, or a cloth worn between the legs. لنگ مارنا lung mārnā, To tie on the لنگ q. v. ¶ lang, adj. Lame. (s. लंग Lameness).

لاولاو lāʼo lāʼo S̱. (from لانا lānā) s. m. Covetousness, avarice. S.A. لاٴولشکر lāʼo lashkar, s. m. (dakh.) Army.

لنگور langūr लांगूली S̱. s. m. A baboon. S. لنگهن लंघन (r. लघ To fast, to leap over) langhan, s. m. 1. Fast, fasting. 2. To jump over. لنگهن پڙنا langhan paṛnā, To catch (as, a disorder).

لکهن likhan S̱. (see لکهنا) s. m. Writing. ¶ lakhan or lakkh̤aṇ (for लक्षण) s. See لچهن lachh̤aṇ,

لرزه larza P s. m. 1. Shaking, shivering, quake. 2. An earthquake. 3. Tremour.
