لٿکن laṭkan H s. m. 1. Any thing hanging. 2. Drops worn in the ears; a pendant, aigulet. 3. A fruit with which clothes are died yellow. 4. Name of a green handsome bird, which of- ten remains hanging by the feet. 5. A stand for water-pots. 6. The drops of a crystal lustre. لٿکن مـﮩبن laṭkan mahban (dakh.) A silk twist with two or four silk tassels suspended to it for a ladyʼs chonṭī or braided hair.

لالا lālā P s. m. 1. A slave, an upper servant. 2. Talkativeness or frivolous talk. 3. An herb brought from about Mecca, the smell of which keeps off the piles. 4. adj. Brilliant (a pearl). 5. s. A grain like sesamum. 6. For لاله lāla, q. v.

لوهو lohū लोहित S̱. s. m. Blood. لوهو بيٿهنا lohū baiṭhnā, To pass blood by stool. لوهو پهٿنا lohū phaṭnā, To have leprosy. لوهو ڐالنا lohū ḍālnā, To spit blood. لوهو لـﮩان lohū-luhān, adj. Covered with blood, bloody.

لئيم laʼīm A (from لوٴم) adj. 1. Reprehensible. 2. Miserly.

لـﮩکارنا lahkārnā H v. a. To fondle, to pat and encourage a horse, &c.

لبار labār H s. m. A liar, a talker.

لکنت luknat A (from لکن To speak a barbarous language) s. f. Stuttering, lisp, stammering.

لبڙخندا labaṛ-ḵẖandā H m. A mischievous child.

لپ لپ lup-lup H s. m. Lapping (as, of a dog drinking). ¶ lap-lap, adj. Nimble, quick. لپ لپ کهانا lap-lap khānā, To eat quickly. S̱. لپنا lipnā (r. लिप Plaster, besmear) v. n. To be plastered, smeared or washed over.
