لثه lis̤a A s. The gums.

لي le S̱. (from لينا) part. Having taken; imper. take; till, to, come! well! H. لئي or لي laʼī, adj. (dakh.) Much, many, ex- tremely, more, very.

لولاک lau-lā-k A (if not thee) The beginning of a sentence, denoting the peculiar regard of the Almighty to Muḥammad. سرلولاک sirr-i-lau- lāk, The mystery of the allusion referred to in لولاک.

لشکر lashkar P s. m. An army. لشکر خلاص lash- kar-ḵẖalāṣ, A trull, a strumpet. لشکرگاه lashkar- gāh, s. f. A camp. لشکرکشي lashkar-kash-ī, s. f. Levying of forces, conduct of an army, leading forth an army, invasion.

لعابي luʼāﻌb-ī A adj. Viscous, slimy.

للگنڐي lalganḍī S̱. s. f. The female monkey.

لالي پڙنا lāle paṛnā S̱. To be extremely desirous and unable fully to express oneʼs wishes. Mīr says:-- اس اسيري کي نه کوٴي اي صبا پالي پڙي ايک نظرگل ديکهني کي بهي همين لالي پڙي Is asīrī ke na koʼī, ai ṣabā! pāle paṛe; yak naz̤ar gul dekhne ke bhī hameṅ lāle paṛe. Oh zephyr! may no one fall into such bonds as these; I long to distraction for one look of the rose.

ليلة القدر lailatu-l-ḳadr A The night of power; a celebrated night in which they say that angels descended or the ḳurʼān began to descend.

لوهسار loh-sār S̱. s. f. An iron mine.
