لونگ laung S̱. or long (लवंग) s. f. A clove. (Caryophyllus aromaticus). لونگ چڙا laung- chaṛā, s. m. A kind of dish prepared from pease- meal.

لنگر langar P 1. s. m. (dakh. s. f.) An anchor. 2. A stay or rope for supporting a tent. 3. An almshouse. 4. The plaits of a robe. 5. adj. Worthless, mean. لنگر اٿهانا langar uṭhānā, 1. To weigh anchor. 2. To feed the poor, or raise an almshouse to give a feast to the poor. لنگرپر هونا langar par honā, To be at anchor. لنگر ڐالنا يا کرنا langar-ḍālnā or -karnā, To cast anchor.

لاکهي lākh-ī S̱. s. f. A red colour procured from lac. S. لاگ लाग (r. लग Come in contact) lāg, s. f. 1. Striking, hitting, fixing, a stroke. 2. En- mity, rancour, spite, grudge. 3. Affection, love. 4. Cost, expenditure. 5. A secret. 6. Approach. لاگ لگنا lāg lagnā, To fall in love.

لٿو laṭṭū H s. m. A childʼs top. ل؟و هونا laṭṭū honā, v. n. To fall in love, to be enamoured.

لگ چلنا lag-chalnā S̱. To follow closely, to court friendship.

لـﮩنڐا luhanḍā लोहहण्डिका S̱. s. m. An iron pot.

لوکٿ lūkaṭ H adj. Half-burnt (wood), a brand.

لانا lānā S (properly لي آنا) v. n. 1. To bring, adduce, induce, introduce, persuade, apply. 2. To breed, produce, make.

لڙ laṛ H s. f. 1. A string (of pearls, &c.), a thread, a row. 2. A strand of a rope or cord. 3. A party. لڙ مين رهنا laṛ meṅ rahnā, To be in oneʼs party.
