لينا lenā S̱. (r. ला Get) v. a. To take, to accept, assume, to get, to hold, to pick, to win, to re- ceive, to buy. لي آنا le ānā, v. n. To bring, fetch. لينا دينا lenā denā, See لين دين len den.

لنگر langar P 1. s. m. (dakh. s. f.) An anchor. 2. A stay or rope for supporting a tent. 3. An almshouse. 4. The plaits of a robe. 5. adj. Worthless, mean. لنگر اٿهانا langar uṭhānā, 1. To weigh anchor. 2. To feed the poor, or raise an almshouse to give a feast to the poor. لنگرپر هونا langar par honā, To be at anchor. لنگر ڐالنا يا کرنا langar-ḍālnā or -karnā, To cast anchor.

لپسي lapsī लप्सिका S̱. s. f. A glutinous kind of food, pottage, pap, spoonmeat.

لپ لپ lup-lup H s. m. Lapping (as, of a dog drinking). ¶ lap-lap, adj. Nimble, quick. لپ لپ کهانا lap-lap khānā, To eat quickly. S̱. لپنا lipnā (r. लिप Plaster, besmear) v. n. To be plastered, smeared or washed over.

لڙهانا luṛhānā S̱. (causal of لڙهنا luṛhnā) v. a. To cause to roll, to spill.

لطمه lat̤ma A s. m. A slap on the cheek, a box on the ear, a blow.

لات lāt A s. m. Name of an idol worshipped by the pagan Arabians.

لٿها laṭhā S̱. (Sans. यष्टि) s. m. A beam.

لوه lūh H s. f. A hot wind.
