لب lab P s. m. f. 1. Lip. لب بستگي lab-basta- gī, s. f. State of having the lips closed. لب خا lab-ḵẖā, adj. Fastidious, fretful. (substan- tively) A prig. لب ولـﮩجه lab-o-lahja, s. m. Conversation. 2. Brim, edge, verge, margin, shore, bank, brow (of a hill), coast. لبريز lab-rez, adj. Brimful, overflowing. لبريزي lab- rez-ī, s. f. Overflowing, abundance. لبين ليني labeṅ lenī, To shave or prune the beard of the upper lip.

لودها lodhā H s. m. Name of a tribe, a husbandman.

ليٿنا leṭnā H v. n. To repose, to lie down, to lie, to rest.

لٿکن laṭkan H s. m. 1. Any thing hanging. 2. Drops worn in the ears; a pendant, aigulet. 3. A fruit with which clothes are died yellow. 4. Name of a green handsome bird, which of- ten remains hanging by the feet. 5. A stand for water-pots. 6. The drops of a crystal lustre. لٿکن مـﮩبن laṭkan mahban (dakh.) A silk twist with two or four silk tassels suspended to it for a ladyʼs chonṭī or braided hair.

لامسه lāmisa A (from لمس) s. m. Feeling, touching, the sense of feeling.

لوين loyan लोचन S̱. s. m. The eye.

لوم लोम lom S s. m. 1. The hair of the body. 2. The base of a triangle, &c. 3. A piquet, outpost, or sentry.

لڙکهنا luṛakhnā S̱. (r. लुठ Roll) v. n. To roll, to fall (or roll) off, to slip, to slide.

لي le S̱. (from لينا) part. Having taken; imper. take; till, to, come! well! H. لئي or لي laʼī, adj. (dakh.) Much, many, ex- tremely, more, very.

لهوار lhau-ār S̱. (dakh.) s. m. Blacksmith. لهوار خاني مين سويان بيچنا lhauʼār-ḵẖāne meṅ sūyāṅ bechnā (i. q. بيجا فخر کرنا be-jā faḵẖr karnā) To boast improperly or out of place (?).
