کمد कुमुद kumud S or kumad, s. m. A white esculent lotus, that expands its petals during the night, and closes them in the day time. (Nymphæa esculenta).

کچپچ kachpach H 1. s. f. Crowd. 2. adj. Close, thick, stuffed together: see گچپچ gach-pach. ¶ kich-pich, s. f. Mud, mire, &c.

کنگال kangāl S̱. or کنگالي kangālī (perhaps from कंकाल A skeleton) adj. Poor, friendless, miserly. کنگال بانکا kangāl bānkā, Poor and proud. کنگالٿر kangālṭar, Vainglorious.

گودهڙا godhṛā H s. m. A bough, a branch.

گنوين ganwīṅ S̱. (ग्राम्य) adj. Relating to a village or the country, rustick.

گوت got S̱. (गोत्र) s. m. Parentage, li- neage, pedigree, stock of a family.

گڙنتهہ gaṛanth H s m. 1. Name of a game, tip- cat. 2. A mode of incantation performed for the destruction of any person (māraṇ), to se- cure his affection (mohan), to subject him to obedience (basīkaraṇ), to imprison him or de- prive him of the power of action or speech (stambhan), to drive him away (uchchāṭan), or to call him (ākarsh̤an). Certain words are pronounced over an effigy of the person, or his name in writing, which is afterwards buried.
