اشراف ashrāf A s. plur. (of شریف) Nobles, grandees, gentlemen, men of high extraction.

اشہاد ashʼhād A s. plur. (of شاهد) Witnesses, eye-witnesses, they who were present at any transaction.

اٿبات is̤bāt A (inf. iv. of ٿبت Heb. To be fixed) s. Confirmation, proof, affirmation, as- certainment, certain knowledge. (The gender of this word in Hindī depends on that of the ob- ject; as, اٿبات مدعيٰ کیا is̤bāt-i-muddaāﻌ kiyā, اٿبات تقریرکي is̤bāt-i-taḳrīr kī): (Hunter).
