قبر ḳabr A (Heb. ) s. f. A grave, a tomb. قبرکن ḳabr-kan, A grave-digger. قبر گاه ḳabr- gāh, s. f. A burying ground. قبرستان ḳabr- istān, s. f. A burying ground. A. قبس 1. ḳabs, s. m. Lighting or getting fire from another, striking or asking fire. 2. Learning, teaching. 3. ¶ ḳabas, A firebrand, a match, any thing for kindling fire with. 4. ¶ kabis (perhaps for قبص ḳabiṣ) adj. قصاص ḳiṣāṣ A (improp. ḳaṣāṣ from قصّ ḳaṣṣa Heb. To cut off) s. m. The law of retalia- tion. (This word is used in contradistinction to ديت diyat).

Attentive, persevering. قايم النار ḳāʼịmu-n-nār, Fixed quicksilver (i. e. fixed by fire). قايم مزاج ḳāʼịm-mizāj, Of a settled temper, constant. قايم مقام ḳāʼịm-maḳām, A viceroy, lieutenant, vicegerent, representative, locum tenens, deputy, successour, assignee.

قتيل ḳatīl A part. (of قتل) Killed, murdered. A. P. قحبگي ḳaḥba-gī (comp. of قحبه and Pers. particle گي) s. f. Whoredom, fornication.

قـﮩقـﮩ‍ا ḳahḳahā A. s. m. Loud laughter, horse- laugh. قـﮩقـﮩ‍ا کرنا ḳahḳahā karnā, or قـﮩقـﮩ‍ه مارنا ḳahḳaha mārnā, To laugh heartily, to giggle.

قيلوله ḳailūla A (from قيل) s. m. Sleeping at midday, a midday nap.
