قرناٴي ḳarnāʼī A or ḳarnāʼe (Chald. from قرن Heb. and Chald. To be horned, to radiate) s. f. A trumpet, a horn (musical), a bugle, a clarion, cornet.

قطع ḳat̤ﻌ A s. f. قطب ḳut̤b A s. m. 1. The iron spindle or axis on which a millstone turns. 2. The polar star, the north pole. قطب جنوبي ḳut̤b-i-janūb-ī,

قتل ḳatl A (Heb. ) s. m. Slaughter, killing, homicide, murder, assassination. قتل عام ḳatl-i-āﻌmm, A general massacre. قتل کرنا ḳatl karnā, To kill, to murder, execute. قتل گاه يا گـﮩ‍ہ ḳatl- gāh or -gah, Place of murder. قنل هونا ḳatl- honā, To be killed.

قلاش ḳallāsh T adj. 1. Shrewd, malicious. 2. Wretched, friendless, cun- ning. 3. Addicted to drinking, a drunkard.

قديم ḳadīm A (from قدم) adj. Ancient, old. قديم سي ḳadīm se, Of old, from ancient times.

قمچي ḳamchī T s. f. 1. A horse-whip. 2. A bamboo twig.

قـﮩ‍ار ḳahhār A adj. (superl. of قـﮩر) Powerful, im- perious, avenging.

قلت ḳillat A (from قلّ Heb. To be light or little) s. f. Littleness, penury, scarcity, want, indigence, paucity, fewness, scantiness.
