فاسق fāsiḳ A s. m. (part. act. of فسق Heb. To distend, to divaricate, to quit the path of rectitude) A fornicator, an adulterer, or adultress, a sinner, a worthless fellow. adj. Impious.

فاقه fāḳa A (from فوق Heb. ) s. m. 1. Po- verty, necessity, want. 2. (Pers. and in Hindī) A fast, fasting (from want, not as a religious duty). فاقه کرنا fāḳa karnā, To fast. فاقه کش fāḳa-kash, One who fasts, a faster, famished. فاقه کشي fāḳa-kash-ī, s. f. Fasting, endurance of hunger. فاقه کهـينچنا fāḳa khainchnā, or فاقون مرنا fāḳoṅ marnā, v. n. To starve, to be famished, to die with hunger. فاقه مست fāḳa- mast, One who is starving but conceals his distress.

فتويٰ fatwạ̄ A (from فتو) s. m. A judicial decree, judgment, sentence, award, decision.
