غصه g̠ẖuṣṣa A (from غصّ g̠ẖaṣṣa, To be choked or suffocated) s. m. 1. Strangulation, suffoca- tion. 2. (met.) Anxiety, grief. 3. (in Hindūst.) Anger, passion. غصي g̠ẖuṣṣe, In anger. غصي سي بهوت هوجانا g̠ẖuṣṣe se bhūt hojānā, To rage like a fiend. غصه کرنا g̠ẖuṣṣa karnā, To rage, to be in a passion. غصه ناک g̠ẖuṣṣa-nāk, adj. غايب g̠ẖāʼịb A (part. act. of غيب Heb. To be obscured or clouded) adj. 1. Absent, away, concealed, invisible, vanished. 2. (substantively) The third person (in gram.). غايب باز g̠ẖāʼịb- bāz, s. m. A conjurer. غاٴيب هونا g̠ẖāʼịb honā, To vanish, to disappear. A. P غايبانه g̠ẖāʼịb-āna, adj. In absence, invisibly.

غوغاٴي g̠ẖaug̠ẖā-ī P 1. adj. Noisy. 2. s. m. A disturber. 3. s. f. Name of a bird.

غدار g̠ẖaddār A adj. (superl. of غدر) Fraudulent, sly, treacherous, perfidious.

غامض g̠ẖāmiẓ A (part. act. of غمض) adj. Ab- struse, difficult to be understood, enigmatical.

غوث g̠ẖaus̤ A s. m. A title of Muhammadan saints, whose ardour of devotion, according to vulgar tradition, is such, that in the act of wor- ship their head and limbs fall asunder.

غول g̠ẖūl A (vulg. g̠ẖol) s. m. 1. An imaginary sylvan demon of different shapes and colours, supposed to devour men and animals. (From this our European loup-garou, or man-wolf, seems to be borrowed). 2. (in Hindī) A corps, division, or main body of an army, a squadron, a crowd, gang. غول بياباني g̠ẖūl-i-bayābān-ī, A demon (inhabitant of the woods). غول کا غول g̠ẖol kā g̠ẖol, Crowd upon crowd.
