غدير g̠ẖadīr A 1. adj. Deceitful, not to be trusted to. 2. s. f. A lake or pool (left by a torrent and liable to fail).

غواص g̠ẖauwāṣ A (adj. superl. of غوص) s. m. A diver (for pearls, &c.).

غشمشم g̠ẖashamsham A adj. One who carries his head erect, one whom nothing turns from his purpose.

غلطاني g̠ẖalt̤ān-ī P s. f. The rolling, wallowing.

غار g̠ẖār A s. m. A cavern, a pit. يار غار yār-i-g̠ẖār, A companion in a cave, (meaning) an intimate friend. (See under يار yār). ¶ g̠ẖārr (part. act. of غرّ) s. m. A deceiver.

غريو g̠ẖareʼo P (or prop. g̠ẖireʼo) s. m. 1. Noise, exclamation, shout, tumult. 2. A mob. 3. A guggling noise in the throat, growling.

غٿ g̠ẖaṭ H s. m. 1. A troop, a throng, a crowd. 2. (dakh.) The sound or noise of a gulp or of swallowing a draught.

غولدنگ g̠ẖolidang P adj. 1. Turbulent, se- ditious, vicious. 2. Stout, fat, round.
