غفور g̠ẖafūr A adj. (superl. of غفر) Clement, for- giving, merciful.

غايب g̠ẖāʼịb A (part. act. of غيب Heb. To be obscured or clouded) adj. 1. Absent, away, concealed, invisible, vanished. 2. (substantively) The third person (in gram.). غايب باز g̠ẖāʼịb- bāz, s. m. A conjurer. غاٴيب هونا g̠ẖāʼịb honā, To vanish, to disappear. A. P غايبانه g̠ẖāʼịb-āna, adj. In absence, invisibly.

غدار g̠ẖadār A. s. m. (dakh.) See غار g̠ẖār.

غواص g̠ẖauwāṣ A (adj. superl. of غوص) s. m. A diver (for pearls, &c.).

غدد g̠ẖudud A s. m. A hard lump formed in the flesh, a glandulous swelling.

غدار g̠ẖaddār A adj. (superl. of غدر) Fraudulent, sly, treacherous, perfidious.

غب g̠ẖibb A s. f. A tertian ague.

غازي g̠ẖāzī A (part. act. of غزا or غزو To purpose, to intend, to undertake a military expedition. Heb. To be strong or brave) s. m. A conqueror, a hero, one who fights against infidels. (Pers. plur. غازيان). غازي مرد g̠ẖāzī-mard, A hero; (met.) a horse. غازي ميان g̠ẖāzī-miyāṅ, was nephew of Sult̤ān Maḥmūd G̱ẖaznawī; a festival is held in commemoration of him at the beginning of May. A.P. غازيانه g̠ẖāziyāna, adv. Bravely.

غوره g̠ẖūra P s. m. 1. Unripe grapes or dates. 2. A colour in pigeons.

غافل g̠ẖāfil A (part. act. of غفل) adj. Negligent, neglectful, inattentive, remiss, indolent, sense- less, imprudent, careless, thoughtless. (Pers. plur. غافلان). A.P. غافلي g̠ẖāfil-ī, s. f. Negligence, carelesness.
