غزل g̠ẖazal A s. f. An ode, an amatory poem. (Plur. غزليات). غزل خوان g̠ẖazal-ḵẖẉān, A re- citer of odes. غزل خواني g̠ẖazal-ḵẖẉān-ī, s. f. The reciting of odes. غزل سرا g̠ẖazal-sarā, adj. Singing an ode. غزل سراي g̠ẖazal-sarā-ī, s. f. Singing of odes.

غره g̠ẖurra A s. m. 1. Whiteness, brightness. 2. A white spot on the forehead of a horse. 3. Morning or its splendour. 4. The first day of the moon, calends, the first and best of any thing, the forehead, front. 5. A fast, fasting.

غرور g̠ẖurūr A (from غرّ) s. m. Pride, haughtiness, vain glory, vanity. A. P. غروري g̠ẖurūr-ī, s. f. Pride, haughtiness.

غاٴي g̠ẖāʼī A s. plur. (of غايت) Ends, extremi- ties. ¶ g̠ẖāʼī or g̠ẖāyī, adj. Final.

غوله د نگ g̠ẖola-dang P. adj. 1. Turbulent, se- ditious, vicious. 2. Stout, fat, round.

غازي g̠ẖāzī A (part. act. of غزا or غزو To purpose, to intend, to undertake a military expedition. Heb. To be strong or brave) s. m. A conqueror, a hero, one who fights against infidels. (Pers. plur. غازيان). غازي مرد g̠ẖāzī-mard, A hero; (met.) a horse. غازي ميان g̠ẖāzī-miyāṅ, was nephew of Sult̤ān Maḥmūd G̱ẖaznawī; a festival is held in commemoration of him at the beginning of May. A.P. غازيانه g̠ẖāziyāna, adv. Bravely.

غلطاني g̠ẖalt̤ān-ī P s. f. The rolling, wallowing.

غباوت g̠ẖabāwat A (from غبي To neglect) s. f. Inadvertency, stupidity.

غن g̠ẖan P 1. s. m. A heavy stone for pressing oil, &c. 2. (in Hindī) adj. Dead drunk.
