عراقي iﻌrāḳ-ī A 1. adj. Produced in or belonging to iﻌrāḳ (especially applied to a breed of horses from that country). 2. s. m. A Par- thian.

The name of a flower (Ipomœa quamoclit) American jasmine. عشق پيشه iﻌshḳ- pesha, Love-practiser, lover. عشق هي iﻌshḳ hai, an exclamation of praise; excellent! well done! praise to! Mīr says:-- عشق انکي عقل کو هي جو ما سواهماري ناچيز جانتي هين نابود جانتي هين iﻌshḳ unkī aﻌḳl ko hai, jo mā siwā hamāre nāchīz jānte haiṅ, nābūd jānte haiṅ, Excellent is their understanding who esteem every thing besides me worthless and null.

عقايد aﻌḳaʼīd A s. m. plur. (of عقيده aﻌḳīda) Articles of religion.

عاجزي āﻌjiz-ī A. s. f. Weakness, dejection, humi- lity, hopelessness. عاجزي کرنا āﻌjiz-ī karnā, To implore, to beseech.

عصمت iﻌṣmat A (from عصم Heb. To be strong, to strengthen, to protect or defend, to preserve from sin) s. f. 1. Defence, protection (especially from sin); hence, 2. Chastity, ho- nour, integrity, continence.
