عفريت iﻌfrīt A (from عفر To roll in the dust) s. m. 1. Any thing frightful or horrible. 2. A giant, demon, spectre. (Plur. عفاريت).

عوج بن عوق يا عنق ūﻌju-bnu-ūﻌḳ A or -uﻌnuḳ, The Og, king of Bashan, mentioned in the Bible.
