Worthy, of high rank. عالي مرتبه āﻌlī-martaba, adj. High in rank or dignity. عاليمقام āﻌlī-maḳām, adj. Of high rank. عالي مقدار āﻌlī-miḳdār, adj. Ex- alted, high in dignity. عالي منش āﻌlī-manish, or عالي همت āﻌlī-himmat, High-minded, ambi- tious. عالي منشي āﻌlī-manish-ī, s. f. Magna- nimity. عالي همتي āﻌlī-himmat-ī, s. f. High- mindedness, ambition.

عربده aﻌrbada A s. m. A conflict, dispute, battle, antipathy.

عدل aﻌdl A s. m. Justice, equity, rectitude. عدل کرنا aﻌdl karnā, To do justice. عدل گستري aﻌdl- gustar-ī, s. f. The dispensing, distribution, or administration of justice.

عقده uﻌḳda A (from عقد) s. m. 1. A knot, an ex- crescence (especially, at the joints, or where bones have been broken), a node. 2. An impe- diment in speech. 3. Perplexed affairs, en- tangled things, confused words. عقده کشا uﻌḳda- kushā, Resolver of perplexities or difficulties. عقده کساٴي uﻌḳda-kushā-ī, s. f. The untying or opening of knots or difficulties.

عيش aﻌish A s. m. Pleasure, delight. عيش گاه aﻌish-gāh, s. f. Place of merriment. عيش محل aﻌish-maḥall, Banqueting-house.
