عريض aﻌrīz̤ A adj. Broad, wide.

عاريت āﻌriyat A (from عور) s. f. Borrowing or lending any thing which is itself to be returned. See ادهار udhār.

عرفان iﻌrfān A s. m. Knowledge, discernment, science.

عجالت iﻌjālat A s. f. Haste, anticipation.

عاقبت āﻌkibat A (from عقب Heb. ) s. f. 1. The end, conclusion, futurity, future state. 2 Success. 3. adv. Finally, at the end, at last, after all. عاقبت انديش āﻌḳibat-andesh, Pro- vident, prescient, considerate, discreet, looking into futurity. عاقبت اند يشي āﻌḳibat-andesh-ī, s. f. Foresight, regard to the issue, end, conse- quence or future.

عفوصت uﻌfūṣat A s. f. Astringency, bitterness.

عطا aﻌt̤ā A s. f. A gift, present, favour, giving. عطا بخش aﻌt̤ā-baḵẖsh, adj. Liberal, bountiful. عطا کرنا aﻌt̤ā karnā, To grant, give, bestow, confer.

عذار iﻌẕār A (improp. uﻌẕār) s. Cheek, face.

عنايت iﻌnāyat A s. f. Favour, gift, present, boun- ty. عنايت کرنا iﻌnāyat karnā, To give, to grant.

عند iﻌnd A (prop. عنديٰ) adv. Near, before, with, about, in, according to, &c. عند البعض iﻌnda- l-baﻌẓ, According to some. عند التحقيق iﻌnda-t- taḥḳiḳ, In truth, certainly. عند الله iﻌnda-l-lāh, With or before God. عند الوصول iﻌnda-l-wuṣūl,
