طرب t̤arab A s. f. Cheerfulness, mirth, merri- ment, hilarity, joy. طربگاه t̤arab-gāh, s. f. Place of merriment.

طل t̤all A s. The dew.

طويله t̤awīla A (from طول) s. m. 1. A long rope with which cattle are tied, a tether, foot-band, fetter; hence, 2. (vulg. t̤awela) A stable, a stall.

طوفان t̤ūfān A (from طوف To go round, to encircle; or, rather, Ch. and Syr. from Ch. and To drop, to flow, to overflow) s. m. 1. An inundation or deluge. 2. The universal deluge. 3. A hurricane, a storm of wind and rain (analog. to Gr. *tufwn). طوفان طرازي t̤ūfān-t̤arāz-ī, s. f. Deluge-making. 4. (met.) Calumny, defama- tion. طوفان لگانا t̤ūfān lagānā, or طوفان لينا

طلايه t̤ilāya A. (corrupt. of طليعه or طلايع) s. m. Night-watch, rounds, piquet, patrole.

طرفة العين t̤urfatu-l-aﻌin A (prop. t̤arfatu-l-aﻌin) The twinkling of an eye.

طوف t̤auf A s. m. 1. Surrounding, making the circuit, going round. 2. Pilgrimage, the pro- cession round the temple of Mecca.

طعنه t̤aﻌna A s. m. Taunting, reproach, gibe, scoff, ignominy, disgrace, aspersion. طعنه زن t̤aﻌna-zan, A reproacher, taunter, asperser, cen- surer, sneerer. طعنه زني t̤a na-zan-ī, s. f. Taunting, jeering, scoffing, reproaching. طعنه مارنا t̤aﻌna mārnā, To cast reproach, to reproach, gibe, twit.

طراري t̤arrārī A. s. f. Quickness, fluency. A. P. طراز t̤irāz (or t̤arāz) s. m. 1. Lace, fringe, embroidery, &c. any ornament on the border of a garment. 2. Manner, form. 3. part. act. (from طرازيدن) in compos. Adorning, ornamenting with needlework.

طپان t̤apāṅ P part. act. (of طپيدن) Palpitating, flouncing, agitated.
