طلاوت t̤alāwat A (from طلا) s. f. Grace, beauty, elegance.

ط t̤oʼe or in Arabic t̤ā, called طاي مہمله or طاي غيرمنقوطه the sixteenth letter of the Arabic al- phabet, does not occur in pure Persian; but, in compliance with Arabic orthography, it is some- times introduced in Persian words which were originally written with ت; as, طبرزد for تبرزد, Sugar-candy; طبرخون for تبرخون, Red sanders.

طراوت t̤arāwat A s. f. Freshness, verdure; mois- ture, humidity, dampness.

طاير t̤āʼịr A part. act. (of طير) 1. Flying. 2. s. m. A bird. (Pers. plur. طايران).

طراره t̤arrāra A. s. m. Quickness, expedition. طراره بهـرنا t̤arrāra bharnā, To stretch out, or bound (a horse at full speed). طراره زبان t̤ar- rāra-zabān, Chattering, eternal clack.

طمانيت t̤amāniyat A. (prop. طمانينت t̤umānīnat, from طمن) s. f. Rest, repose, tranquillity.

طامع t̤āmiﻌ A (part. act. of طمع) adj. Covetous, greedy, desirous.

طباخ t̤abbāḵẖ A (Heb. adj. superl. of طبخ) s. m. A cook.

طبق t̤abaḳ A s. m. (dakh. s. f.) 1. A cover. 2. A plate, a dish, a leaf, a disk. 3. Gold leaf, tinfoil, &c. 4. One thing following another or consecutive; the story of a house, a layer or stratum, &c. class, order, degree.
