Trying oneʼs fortune. طالع شناس t̤āliﻌ- shinās, Fortuneteller, astrologer. طالع مند t̤āliﻌ- mand, adj, 1. Fortunate. 2. Wealthy. طالع مندي t̤āliﻌ-mand-ī, s. f. 1. Fortune, prosperity. 2. Wealth. طالع ور t̤āliﻌ-war, adj. 1. Fortunate. 2. Wealthy. طالع وري t̤āliﻌ-war-ī, s. f. Good fortune.

طويله t̤awīla A (from طول) s. m. 1. A long rope with which cattle are tied, a tether, foot-band, fetter; hence, 2. (vulg. t̤awela) A stable, a stall.

طاس t̤ās A s. m. 1. Brocade. 2. A cup, goblet, bowl, the vessel in which water is cooled.

طبقه t̤abḳa A (prop. t̤abaḳa) s. m. A story, floor, stage, degree, class, order, rank, shelf.

طست t̤ast A s. A bowl or large cup.

طماچه t̤amācha P s. m. See طمانچه t̤amāncha.

طول t̤ūl A 1. s. m. Length, longitude; prolixity, diffusiveness. طول حرف t̤ūl-i-ḥarf, or طول سخحن t̤ūl-i-suḵẖan, or طول کلام t̤ūl-i-kalām, Prolixity, length of discourse, circumlocution, many words. 2. adj. Long, tall, extensive, lasting long.

طمع t̤amaﻌ A (Ch. To be sunk or immersed) s. f. Avarice, covetousness, greediness, avidity, ambition. طمع کرنا t̤amaﻌ karnā, To covet.

طرفين t̤arfain A s. (dual of طرف) Both sides, both parties.
