سيم sīm P s. m. Silver. سيم پرست sīm-parast, adj. Venal, selfish. سيم بر sīm-bar, Silver- bosomed; with a bosom fair as silver. سيم بدن sīm-badan or سيم تن sīm-tan, Silver-bodied; with a body fair as silver.

سلاٴي salāʼī शलाका S̱. s. f. 1. A needle, or piece of wire for tinging the eyelids with a collyrium: also, used for depriving people of sight, which is effected by drawing it while hot close over the eyes of the sufferer. 2. A lead pencil.

سٿهاٴي siṭhāʼī S̱. (from سيٿها sīṭh-ā) s. f. Insipidity, tastelessness.

سگسار sag-sār P adj. Dog-like or dog-headed; name of a country where the inhabitants have heads like dogs and bodies like those of men, a man of that country; a miser, a worldly person.

سبزي sabz-ī P s. f. 1. Greenness, verdure. 2. Greens, culinary vegetables. 3. An intoxicating liquor made of bhang. 4. A goblet or flask for wine. سبزي منڐي sabzī-manḍī, s. f. A place where vegetables are sold.

سوٴر sūʼar S̱. (dakh. sūwar) s. m. A hog. See سوأر.
