اپاڙنا upāṛnā S̱. (उत्पाटन from उत् and r. पट Go) v. a. To root up, to extirpate, to eradicate. S̱. اپاس (contract. of اپواس उपवास q. v.) upās, s. m. A fast, fasting.

ازوقه azūḳa A. (corrupt. from ذوق) s. m. Food.

اروئي arūʼī S̱. (corruptly for ارچ अरुचि) s. f. Sickness at stomach arising from pregnancy.

ابتوري ab-torī S̱. adv. Till now, hitherto, yet, as yet, still.

اٿوک a-ṭok H adj. Unrestrained, uninterrupted, without hinderance, unquestioned.

ادهیرج adhīraj S̱. (अधैर्य्य from अधीर) s. m. Confusedness, perplexity, unsteadiness. adj. Perplexed, confused, unsteady, impatient.

آيه āya A s. m. A sentence of the ḳurʼān. See آيت āyat.

اردهانگ अर्द्धांग अर्द्ध Half, and अंग Body ardhāng S. s. m. Half the body; palsy affecting one side or the upper or lower part of the body, hemiplegia. اردهانگ دهرنا ardhāng dharnā, To assume a body half male and half female.

اخوان iḵẖwān A s. plur. (of اج aḵẖ) Brothers. اخوان زمان iḵẖwān-i-zamān, Contemporaries, people of the same religion.
