سونٿ sūnṭ H s. f. Silence. سونٿ بهرنا sūnṭ bharnā, or سونٿ مارنا sūnṭ mārnā, To be silent. سونٿ ماري جانا sūnṭ māre jānā, To depart in silence.

سليش श्लेष slesh̤ S s. m. A pun, a double meaning, an equivoque in writing or speaking; as, کيکرپاکرتارجامن پهل سا املا سيوکدم کچنارپيپل رتي تونتج Kīkar pākar tār, jāman phalsā āmilā; seʼo kadam kachnār, pīpal rattī tūna taj. (This seems to be a catalogue of trees; it also means) God has been kind to you; that which you de- sired is obtained; adore his footsteps; silly woman! leave not your lover for a moment.

سير ser P adj. Full, satiated, sated, tired. سيرآنا يا هونا ser-ānā or -honā, To be distressed, tired of life, sated, cloyed. سير چشم ser-chashm, Satisfied, contented with what one has. سير حاصل ser-ḥāṣil, s. m. Produce (of agriculture).

سنساري संसारी sansār-ī S adj. Worldly.

سرادهہ श्राद्ध srāddha S s. m. Funeral obsequies, consisting in the feeding of priests and other prescribed ceremonies in honour of ancestors.

سفته sufta P part. pass. (from سفتن) Bored, pierced (a pearl).

سو शव sav S s. m. A dead body, corpse.

سم دم sum-dum P adj. Very corpulent.

سنيوگ sanyog S s. m. See سنجوگ sanjog.

سعادت saʼāﻌdat A (from سعد) s. f. Felicity, hap- piness, good fortune. سعادت مند saʼāﻌdat- mand, adj. Fortunate, prosperous, happy. سعادت مندي saʼāﻌdat-mand-ī, s. f. Prosperity.
