سندهان संधान sandhān S s. m. Spying, prying into secrets. سندهان پانا sandhān pānā, v. a. To trace, to discover.

سازنده sāzinda P (prop. sāzanda, part. act. of ساختن) s. m. 1. Maker. 2. Musical performer.

سسکي siskī H s. f. Sobbing. سسکيان بهرنا siskiyāṅ bharnā, To sob.

سلخ salaḵẖ A (prop. salḵẖ, from سلخ He skinned, took off) s. f. The end of the month, or the day of the new moon: the last day of such a month as has thirty days.

سياها siyāhā P. (for سياهه) s. m. An account-book or written account, a list, inventory.

سعد saﻌd A s. m. Felicity, prosperity, propi- tiousness.

سنت sunnat A s. f. (lit. a religious ceremony necessary to be performed; from سنّ To be constantly observing, to follow rule, or from Heb. To repeat, q. d. that which is constantly to be repeated, observed or performed) 1. Circum- cision. سنت کرنا sunnat karnā, v. a. To cir- cumcise. 2. The traditions of Muhammad, ordinance, institute, rite, right way (of life). ¶ sanat (Heb. q. d. the repetition of the same course of the sun, with its concomitant changes) s. f. A year.

ستانا satānā संतापन S̱. v. a. To tease, vex, fret, to trouble, afflict, ail, harm, interrupt, an- noy, grieve, harass.

سماجت samājat A s. f. 1. (used adjectively) Deformed, filthy, base. 2. Adulteration. 3. Adulation, entreaty, solicitation.

سمدهن samdhan S̱. or samdhin, s. f. Childʼs mo- ther-in-law.
