سلامت salāmat A (from سلم) s. f. Safety, salva- tion, recovery, tranquillity, health; adjectively, Safe, well, in safety. سلامت رو salāmat-rau, An economist. سلامت روي salāmat-rau-ī, s. f. Economy, good management.

سونان sūnāṅ शून्य S̱. adj. See سونا sūnā.

سمالو samālū सिन्धु S̱. s. m. The name of a plant: also, called Meʼoṛī. (Vitex trifolia and negundo).

سرين surīn P s. f. The buttocks, the hips, the thighs.

سنجنا sanjanā S̱. s. m. See سـہجنا sahajnā.

سويت श्वेत swet S adj. White. See سيت set.

سندهيا संध्या sandhyā S s. f. 1. Twilight, either in the evening or morning. 2. A period of time, forenoon, afternoon or midday. 3. Religious abstraction, meditation, repetition of mantras, sipping water, &c. to be performed by the three first classes of Hindūs at particular and stated periods in the course of every day, especially at sunrise, sunset, and also, though less essentially, at noon.

سلسلاهٿ silsilāhaṭ A. s. f. Concatenation.

سابر sābar S̱. (शंबर or शांबर) s. m. 1. An elk. 2. A leather of elkʼs or any kind of deerʼs hide for bedding. سابرمنتر sābar-mantr (शावरमंत्र from शवर A low Hindū cast, and मंत्र A spell) s. m. A spell composed in colloquial language.
