سرد शरद् sarad S s. f. Name of the fourth of the six seasons. See سرت sarat.

سرپتا sar-patā S̱. (शरपत्र) s. m. A kind of reed, or reed-grass. (Sac- charum procerum: Roxb.).

سائي sāʼe P part. (of ساييدن) in compos. Rub- bing, &c.: see سا sā, sign. 3. ¶ sā-ī, in compos. s. f. Rubbing. جبين سائي jabīn-sā-ī, s. f. Rubbing the forehead (on the ground in adoration).

سيپاره sī-pāra P (سي Thirty, and پاره Piece, di- vision, viz. a thirty piece) 1. s. m. Each one of the thirty sections, or the thirty sections, into which the ḳurʼān is divided. 2. adj. Of thirty pieces. See سپاره sipāra.
