سپردا sapardā संप्रदाय S̱. s. m. A musician attending on singing women.

سجلا sajlā H s. m. Third brother of four or more.

سماع samāﻌ A (from سمع Heb. To hear) s. m. 1. Hearing, listening. 2. The sense of hearing. 3. Singing, a song. 4. Ecstacy occasioned by hearing singing, particularly in Dervises when hearing hymns.

سنڐاس sanḍās H s. m. A necessary, a water- closet (opening into the streets), a sink.

سمٿنا simaṭnā H v. n. To be concentrated, to shrink, to be contracted or drawn together, to shrivel.

سيکري sīkrī शृंखल S̱. s. f. A wire-chain.

سره گاٴي sura-gāʼe S̱. s. The Yāk of Tartary or bushy-tailed bull of Tibet (bos grunniens), an animal of the tail of which an instrument is formed to drive away flies. See As. Res. vol. iv.

سرس saras S̱. (श्रेयस्) adj. 1. Best, excellent, prime. 2. More, abundant, plenty.

سواس sūʼās H s. m. A kind of rice.
