سياه گوش siyāh-gosh P s. m. Name of an animal. (Felis caracal: Gmel. Persian lynx: Penn.).

ستهيا sathiyā H s. m. 1. A surgeon. 2. A mark in form of a cross, the four arms of which are bent at right angles, prefixed in vermilion by Hindūs to their account books at the com- mencement of a new year. The same figure is formed on the ground with flour, at marriages and other ceremonies.

سنگاريا singār-iyā S̱. (from शृंगार) s. m. One whose business it is to dress an idol.

سپندي sipand-ī P s. f. The performance of the charm with the اسپند ispand, q. v.

سلگنا sulagnā S̱. or silagnā (संलग्न) v. n. 1. To light, to be kindled, to be inflamed. 2. To burn without smoke or flame.

سينگ sīng शृंग S̱. s. m. A horn.
