سوتيلا saut-elā S̱. (from سوت) adj. Belonging or relating to saut, of one father by different mo- thers; as, سوتيلا بهاٴي sautelā bhāʼī, Step-brother; سوتيلي بہن sautelī bahin, Step-sister.

سدا sadā सदा S̱. adv. Always. سداپهل sadā- phal, 1. s. m. A fabled fruit, eating of which confers long life, &c. 2. adj. Constantly bearing fruit (epithet of a tree). 3. A kind of lemon. سداسو सदाशिव sadā-siva, A name of Mahādeva: see سو siva. سداسـہ‍اگن sadā- suhāgan, s. f. 1. The name of a bird (Trogon dilectus: Buch. MSS.). 2. Name of a flower (Hibiscus phœniceus: the white variety). 3. A kind of faḳīr dressed like a woman.

سيتلتا शीतलता sītal-tā S s. f. Coolness.

سورن शूरण sūraṇ S s. m. An edible tuberous root. (Arum campanulatum: Roxb.).

سيمًا sīmaṉ A s. Mark, sign.

سباقت sabāḳat A s. f. See سبقت sabḳat.

سرک sarak H s. f. m. (dakh.) Noose, snare.

سکهانا sukhānā S̱. (शोषण or caus. of سوکهنا sukh- nā) v. a. 1. To dry; to emaciate, to cause to pine away. 2. To evaporate.
