سيس sīs S̱. s. m. 1. (शीर्ष) The head. سيس چرهانا sīs-chaṛhānā, See سرچڙهانا sir chaṛhānā, under سيس پهول .سر sīs-phūl, s. m. An or- nament for the head (worn by females). 2. (शिखा) A freckle, flame, spike. (Beng.).

سوزن sozan P s. f. 1. A needle. 2. Pricker (of a gun).

سبکئي subkaʼī P. s. f. Lightness, levity, fri- volousness, indignity, dis- honour, disgrace, contempt.

ستمستا suttamsattā H adj. (dakh. i. q. سنسان) Lonely, solitary, silent, dreary.

سابون sābūn A s. m. Soap. See صابون ṣābūn.

سو शव sav S s. m. A dead body, corpse.

سستر sustar H s. (dakh.) A string for making images dance.

سمبهلنا sambhalnā S̱. (intrans. of سمبهالنا sambhāl- nā, q. v.) v. n. To be supported, to stand, stop, to be firm, to recover oneʼs self from a fall, &c.

سانسا sāṅsā संशय S̱. s. m. Imagination, re- flection, fancy, fear, apprehension.

سيپاره sī-pāra P (سي Thirty, and پاره Piece, di- vision, viz. a thirty piece) 1. s. m. Each one of the thirty sections, or the thirty sections, into which the ḳurʼān is divided. 2. adj. Of thirty pieces. See سپاره sipāra.
