سرخاب surḵẖāb P s. m. Name of a bird. (Anas casarca). سرخاب کا پرلگنا surḵẖāb kā par lagnā, To do any thing expeditiously. سرپرسرخاب کا پرهونا sir par surḵẖāb kā par honā, To be proud. P. A. سرخط sar-ḵẖat̤t̤, s. m. 1. An agreement to hire service. 2. Bill of sale.

سرخي surḵẖ-ī P s. f. 1. Redness. 2. Blood. 3. Brickdust.

سراج sirāj A (Chald. from سرج Heb. To weave, to entangle; to shine) s. m. 1. A candle, a lamp. 2. The sun. ¶ sarrāj (from سرج) s. m. 1. A saddler. 2. A groom.

سرخ surḵẖ P adj. Red. سرخ بادا يا باده surḵẖ- bād-ā or -bād-a, s. m. The name of a disorder, Anthonyʼs fire, erysipelas. سرخ بيد surḵẖ-bed, s. f. 1. A kind of cane. 2. Name of a medi- cinal plant. سرخ پوش surḵẖ-posh, adj. Clothed in red. سرخ رو surḵẖ-rū, adj. Red in the face; honourable, unabashed (not pale with the consciousness of any guilt, nulla culpâ pallescens). سرخ روئي surḵẖ-rū-ī, s. f. Honour, character, fame. سرخ سفيد surḵẖ sufaid (Red and white) Fair. سرخ لبي surḵẖ-lab-ī, s. f. Redness of the lips.

سرداري sardār-ī P s. f. Chiefship, supremacy, domination, lordship, rule.

ستوڙا satoṛā H adj. or s. (dakh. i. q. نيست و نابود) Nonexistence, annihilated, destroyed. S. ستوگن (सत्वगुण) satwa-guṇ, The principle of goodness or benevolence, attribute of Vish̤ṇu. See under رجوگن rajo-guṇ.

سندر सिन्दुर sindur S s. m. Red lead, minium.

سڙپ suṛap H (from سڙپنا) s. f. Sipping, or sucking up (as, broth), or the noise made thereby.
