سدي sudī सुदि S̱. s. f. The light half of the lunar month, or from the new to the full moon.

سہنہار sahan-hār S̱. (see سہنا) adj. Sufferable, bearable, tolerable.

سلکهن सुलक्षण sulakkh̤aṇ S (i. q. سلچهن su- lachchh̤an, q. v. in dakh.) adj. 1. Clever: see چتر chatur. 2. Of good marks or features; beautiful.

ست بهکها शतभिषा satbhikh̤ā S s. f. The twen- ty-fifth mansion of the moon, containing 100 stars, the chief of which is l Aquarii.

سوست स्वस्ति swasti S A particle of benedic- tion, approbation, &c. (so be it, amen). स्वस्ति वाचन swasti-vāchan, s. m. A religious rite preparatory to any important observance, in which the Brāhmaṇs strew boiled rice on the ground, and invoke the blessing of the gods on the ceremony about to commence.

سنپت sanpat S̱. s. f. See سمپت.

سہرانا sahrānā H or sihrānā, or sahirānā, 1. v. n. To thrill, to have the hairs stand on end. 2. (corrupt. from سہلانا) v. a. To stroke, rub gently, tickle, titillate; tire, harass, tease.
