راتب rātib A s. m. Daily allowance of food (to animals, particularly dogs and elephants), al- lowance, portion, provision.

رنگاٴي rangāʼī P. S̱. (from رنگانا) s. f. 1. The price paid for dying. 2. A certain space of time, during which a cloth is died.

رساٴي rasā-ī P s. f. 1. Access, entrance, arriving. 2. Wisdom, quickness of apprehension, pene- tration, cleverness, skill. S. رساين रसायन (comp. of रस Mercury, and अयन A road, a going, r. इ Go) rasāyan, s. m. 1. Chymistry. 2. A medicine composed of mercury or other metals.

رفض rifẓ A (properly rafẓ or rafaẓ) s. m. 1. Schism, heresy. 2. Abandoning.

رباعي rubāʼīﻌ A (from ربع Four) s. f. A quatrain, a stanza of four lines, a tetrastick. (Plur. رباعيات rubāʼ-īﻌyāt).

راهب rāhib A s. m. A monk. (Pers. pl. راهبان).
