داغ dāg̠ẖ P 1. s. m. Spot, stain, mark, scar, cicatrix, blemish, freckle, speck, a mark made by burning with a hot iron, brand, stigma, cautery. 2. (adjectively) Wounded, cauterized, having many scars. داغ بربالاي داغ dāg̠ẖ bar bālā-e-dāg̠ẖ, One misfortune following another. داغ چڙهانا يا لگانا dāg̠ẖ-chaṛhānā or -lagānā, To vilify, to defame. داغدار dāg̠ẖ-dār, adj. Scarred, cauterized, spotted, marked. داغ دينا dāg̠ẖ- denā, 1. To mark by burning with a hot iron, to cauterize, brand, scar. 2. To blemish. داغ لانا dāg̠ẖ lānā, To vilify. داغ لگنا dāg̠ẖ lagnā, To be damaged, to get a bad name. داغ هونا dāg̠ẖ honā, To be cauterized or scarred. P. H. داغنا dāg̠ẖ-nā (from داغ) v. a. 1. To cau- terize, to mark by burning with a hot iron. 2. To fire (a gun, &c.).

دوپيازا do-piyāz-ā P. s. m. A kind of dish, meat dressed dry with onions.

دلـﮩ‍ن dalihan S̱. (from द्विदल Two halves, and अन्न Grain) s. f. Any sort of pulse which may be split; as دال dāl.

دفاين dafāʼịn A s. plur. (of دفينه) Hidden trea- sures.

دوس dos S̱. (दोष r. दुष Be defiled, &c.) s. m. Crime, fault, blame. دوس هونا dos honā, To be sick after childbirth, from neglect of regi- men.

دهراج dhirāj अधिराज S̱. s. m. A potentate, a monarch, an emperour.
