دلايل dalāʼịl A s. plur. (of دليل) Proofs, argu- ments.

دودهابهاتي dūdhābhātī S̱. s. f. A ceremony per- formed the fourth day after marriage, wherein the bride and bridegroom eat milk, boiled rice, and sugar together.

دهليانا dhuliyānā S̱. v. a. See دهريانا dhuriyānā.

دانڐ dānḍ दंड S̱. s. m. Fine, punishment, amercement, oppression, injustice, injury. S̱. H. دانڐا مينڐا dānḍā-menḍā (from Sans. दंड A stick put up as a land-mark, and h. مينڐ A bank raised for the like purpose) s. m. The frontier or boundary between the lands of two proprietors.

دسر dussar H s. m. Double stakes at dice, &c. playing double or quits.

دوهاٴي dohāʼī S̱. or duhāʼī (from द्वौ Two, and हाहा Alas) s. f. 1. Crying out for justice, ex- clamation. 2. An oath, plaint (q. d. twice alas). دوهاٴي تهاٴي کرنا duhāʼī tihāʼī karnā, To make reiterated complaints.

Torment of the heart, anxiety, trouble. دل آزرده dil-āzurda, adj. Troubled in mind, vexed, dejected. دلاسا dil-āsā (دل and part. of آسودن To pacify) s. m. Comfort, soothing, encouragement, consolation. دل افگار dil-afgār, adj. Heart-broken, pensive, melancholy. دلاويز dil-āwez, adj. Heart-suspending, heart-ravishing, heart-delighting, trans- porting. دل باخته dil-bāḵẖta, adj. Heart-deluded. دل بٿورنا dil-baṭornā, To dishearten, to deject. دل بدل dil ba-dil, Mutual love, inter- change of hearts. دلبر dil-bar, Heart-ravisher, lovely, attractive, beloved; a sweetheart. دلبري dil-bar-ī, s. f.
