دگانه du-gāna P (دو Two, with the particle گانه) s. m. 1. Two prostrations at prayer. 2. (in the dialect of women) Two intimate female friends, sworn sisters.

ديري der-ī P s. f. Lateness, delay, tardiness, slowness. ديري لگنا derī lagnā, To be late, slow, &c. ديري کرنا der-ī karnā, To delay, dally.

درخواست darḵẖẉāst P (from درخواستن To wish, petition) s. f. Application, request, entreaty, proposal, desire, wish, demand, petition, appeal, or petition of appeal. درخواست کرنا darḵẖẉāst karnā, To beseech, request, entreat, require, beg, seek, propose.

دهش dahash A 1. s. Astonishment, amazement. 2. adj. Stupified with amazement, struck with astonishment or consternation.

دهرانا dhirānā H v. a. To threaten, to bully.

دهويندهي ڐکار dhoʼendhī ḍakār H s. f. A sour belch.

دهاين دهاين dhāʼeṅ dhāʼeṅ H s. f. 1. The report of cannon heard at a distance. 2. A sound made by burning any thing. P.T. دهباشي dah-bāsh-ī (Pers. ده Ten, and Turk. باش Head) s. m. A commander of ten men, a person having a place of trust, a valet.

دوبهاشيا du-bhāshiyā S̱. (see under دو) s. m. An interpreter.
