دهنگر dhan-gar S̱. s. m. (dakh.) Grazier, shepherd: see چرواها charwāhā.

دوارکا द्वारिका dwārikā S s. f. Name of a Hindū holy place on the shore of the western sea, near the mouth of the gulf of Cutch. دوارکا ناتهـ द्वारिकानाथ dwārikā-nāth, Master of dwā- rikā, i. e. Kr̤ish̤ṇa.

Giving or occasioning pain, troublesome, vexatious. دکهـ کا مارا dukh kā mārā, adj. Afflicted. دکهـ هرن दुःखहरण dukh-haraṇ, Anodyne. دکهـ هرتا दुःखहर्ता dukhahartā, Dispeller of grief or pain.

دانشمند dānish-mand P adj. Learned, wise.

ديت diyat A s. f. The law of retaliation, the price of blood, the fine paid for murder, wounding or maiming. (In cases of murder it is ex- acted, when the homicide is committed in any other way than with sword, dagger, &c.).

درود گري darod-gar-ī P s. f. The business of a carpenter, carpentry.

دهوريا بيلا dhūriyā-belā H s. m. A species of jas- mine.

دوران daurān A (from دور daur) s. m. 1. Time, age. 2. Fortune, vicissitude. 3. A revolu- tion, period, a circle, cycle. دوران سر daurān-i-sar, s. m. A swimming in the head, dizziness, giddiness, vertigo.

دهج dhaj ध्वज S̱. s. f. m. 1. Shape, form. 2. Attitude, posture. دهج پلٿنا dhaj palaṭnā, To change oneʼs attitude in sword-playing, &c.
