ديکهنا dekhnā S̱. (r. दृश See) v. a. To see, to look at, view, observe, mark, inspect, behold, perceive, to experience. ديکهنا بهالنا dekhnā bhāl- nā, To see, to look at. ديکها ديکهي dekhā- dekhī, s. f. Emulation, competition, the looking at each other or being within sight (of objects).

دهکيلنا dhakelnā H v. a. To shove, to push, to jostle. See ڐهکيلنا ḍhakelnā.

ديوا dewā S̱. (देव) s. m. 1. A god, a deity. ديوتهان dew-thān (देवस्थान) s. f. A temple, place of idols. 2. (met.) The rain.

دفله dafla P s. m. A smaller tambourin.

دتا دينا dut-tā denā S̱. v. a. 1. To drive away scornfully. 2. (see دهتا dhuttā) To deceive, to balk, to cheat.

دخيل daḵẖīl A (from دخل) 1. adj. Intimate, fa- miliar. 2. Admitted, allowed entrance; adopt- ed (a word). 3. s. m. A friend, a confidant, an accomplice. دخيل هونا daḵẖīl honā, To meddle, to intermeddle (in).

دب dubb A s. m. 1. State, constitution, condi- tion, custom, manner, property, quality. 2. (Heb. ) A bear. دب اصغر dubb-i-aṣg̠ẖar, The lesser bear. دب اکبر dubb-i-akbar, The greater bear. 3. (met.) A fool.

دهپ dhap H s. (dakh. i. q. آواز) Voice, sound, noise, crack.

دوابه duʼāba P. or doʼāba (from دو Two, and آب Water) A country between two rivers; the country (we call the Doab) between the Gangā and Jamunā. See انتربيد antarbed.
