ديري der-ī P s. f. Lateness, delay, tardiness, slowness. ديري لگنا derī lagnā, To be late, slow, &c. ديري کرنا der-ī karnā, To delay, dally.

داد dād दद्रु S̱. s. m. A ringworm, herpes.

دهينور dhīṅwar S̱. (धीवर) s. m. A fisherman; name of a cast of fishermen. See دهيمر dhīmar.

دربهکش durbhiksh̤ S s. m. See دربهچهـ. S. درپ दर्प (r. दृप Be proud) darp, s. m. Pride, boasting.

دياڙا deʼāṛā H s. m. A white ant-hill.

دگلا daglā H s. m. A kind of quilted vest worn as armour. S. دگمبر दिगंबर (दिग् inflect. of दिश् Space, and अंबर Clothing) dig-ambar, 1. adj. Naked. 2. s. m. An order of Hindū asceticks, who go naked: they are worshippers of Siva. 3. A mendicant of the sect of Buddha, going naked or wearing coloured clothes.

دريبا darebā H s. m. A stall (in a market) where betel is sold.

دهتوريا dhatūriyā S̱. (from دهتورا which deprives a person of reason) A cheat, an impostor.

دفالي daf-ālī P. s. m. He whose business it is to play on the tambourin.
