دسـﮩرا dasahrā S̱. or dasʼharā (दशहरा comp. of दश Ten, and noun from r. हृ Seize, take) s. m. 1. The tenth of Jeṭh shukl paksh̤, which is the birthday of Gangā. Whoever bathes in the Gangā on that day, is purified from ten sorts of sins. 2.
