دهرانا duhrānā S̱. (from دوهرا dohrā) v. a. To fold, to double, repeat, reduplicate.

دهاٴي dhāʼe धात्री S̱. s. f. A nurse. H.S̱. دهاٴي ماررونا dhāʼe mār ronā, To cry, to groan, to weep bitterly. See دهاه مارنا dhāh mārnā.

دهرماوتار धर्मावतार dharmāvatār S or dhar- mautār, s. m. Incarnation of Dharma, god of justice; used as a term of respect.

دوارکا द्वारिका dwārikā S s. f. Name of a Hindū holy place on the shore of the western sea, near the mouth of the gulf of Cutch. دوارکا ناتهـ द्वारिकानाथ dwārikā-nāth, Master of dwā- rikā, i. e. Kr̤ish̤ṇa.

ديوڙيوان dewṛī-wān H s. m. (dakh.) A door-keeper, porter.

دناٴت danāʼat A (from دنؤ) s. f. Meanness, baseness.

دوڙي dauṛ-ī S̱. s. f. A drawn game at chaupaṛ.

دعا duʼāﻌ A s. f. Benediction, blessing, salutation, congratulation, prayer, wish, invocation, impre- cation. (Plur. ادعيه). دعاي دولت duʼāﻌ-e-dau- lat, Praying for oneʼs prosperity, benediction. دعا دينا duʼāﻌ denā, To give a blessing, to bless or pray for. دعا کرني يا مانگني duʼāﻌ-karnī or -māngnī, To wish for, to pray. دعا گو duʼāﻌ-go, One who blesses or prays, blesser. دعا گوي duʼāﻌ-go-ī, s. f. Benediction, blessing.

دوج द्विज dwija S (twice-born) s. m. A man of either of the three first classes (the Brāhmaṇs, Ksh̤atriyas, and Vaisyas being initiated into their respective tribes by investiture with the sacred thread, which is called a second birth).
