دندان dandān P s. m. A tooth. دندان گير dan- dān-gīr, adj. Biting (horse). دندان مصري dan- dān-miṣrī, s. f. A kind of sweetmeat.

دهچه dhichcha H s. (dakh.) See ڐهچا ḍhichchā.

دادا dādā H s. m. 1. Paternal grandfather. 2. Elder brother.

دريا daryā P s. m. (in dakh. f.) The sea, a river, the waters. دريا دلي daryā-dil-ī, s. f. Sea-like expansion of heart; great liberality.

دهنـيـﮩ‍او dhunīhāʼo H s. m. Pains in the bones. See دهن dhun, sign. 2.

دهمکي dhamkī H s. f. Threat, menace.

دهجي dhajjī S̱. (from ध्वज) s. f. A slip of cloth or paper, a shred. دهجيان اڙانا dhajjiyaṅ uṛānā, To disgrace, to expose one to infamy. دهجيان کرنا dhajjiyāṅ karnā, To tear to pieces.

درکنار dar-kinār P adv. On one side, apart, out of the way, aside; (put it) aside. S. درگ दृग् (r. दृश See) drig, s. m. The eye. S. درگ दुर्ग (comp. of दुर् With difficulty, and part. of r. गम Go, q. d. Difficult of passage) durg, 1. adj. Impenetrable, impassable, inac- cessible. 2. s. m. A strong fort.

دهنڐنا dhunḍnā S̱. v. a. (dakh.) See ڐهونڐهنا ḍhūnḍhnā.

داردري dāridr-ī दरिद्र S̱. adj. Poor, wretched, indigent, needy, unfortunate.
