خرابي ḵẖarāb-ī A. s. f. 1. Badness, depravity. 2. Ruin, desolation, destruction, mischief, perdi- tion, misery, an ill or evil.

خچرخچر ḵẖachar ḵẖachar H. s. m. An imitative sound.

خروس ḵẖurūs P s. m. A dunghil-cock.

خف ḵẖiff A (from خفّت) adj. Light (of weight or morals), undignified. ¶ ḵẖuff, s. m. A boot.

خليفه ḵẖalīfa A (from خلف Heb. To pass over or beyond; to succeed or follow) s. m. 1. A successour, a sovereign, particularly applied to the successours of Muhammad. 2. (in Hind.) Cooks, tailors, &c. are called ḵẖalīfa. 3. A fencing-master. 4. A monitor (as a senior boy at school becomes).

خلط ḵẖilt̤ A s. m. 1. One of the four humours of the human body. 2. ¶ ḵẖalt̤, Confusion, mixture, medley. خلط فاسد ḵẖilt̤-i-fāsid, Canker of a sore. (Cacochymia).

خواص ḵẖawāṣṣ A s. plur. (of خاصّ or خاصّه) 1. Attendants, domesticks. 2. Grandees, ministers of state, people of quality or distinct from the vulgar, gentry. 3. Properties, qualities, attri- butes. 4. A page or a female attendant on the great. 5. A favourite. خواص وعوام ḵẖawāṣṣ o aﻌwāmm, Nobles and plebeians.

خسروانه ḵẖusrawāna P adv. or adj. Princelike, kingly, royal, princely.
