خاندان ḵẖāndān P s. m. Family, race, house (of a prince), household. خاندان کي علامت ḵẖān- dān kī aﻌlāmat, s. f. Armorial bearings.

خلاف ḵẖilāf A (from خلف) s. m. 1. Opposition, contrariety; in opposition, contrary to, against. 2. Falsehood. خلاف راٴي ḵẖilāf-i-rāʼe, Against (oneʼs) opinion, or will. خلاف شرع ḵẖilāf-i-sharﻌ, Illegal, unlawful. خلاف عقل ḵẖilāf-i-aﻌḳl, Contrary to reason. خلاف قياس ḵẖilāf-i-ḳiyās, Improbable, absurd, irregular, anomalous. خلاف قياسي ḵẖilāf-ḳiyās-ī, s. f. خبير ḵẖabīr A (from خبر) adj. Knowing, wise, skilful, learned.

خيريت ḵẖairiyat A (from خير) s. f. Welfare.

خاتم ḵẖātim A (from ختم Heb. To seal, to close, to finish) s. f. 1. A ring worn on the fin- gers. 2. A seal. خاتم المرسلين ḵẖātimu-l-mur- salīn or خاتم الانبيا ḵẖātimu-l-ambiyā, The seal of the prophets, i. e. Muhammad. خاتم بند ḵẖātim-band, A seal-setter.

خاصا ḵẖāṣṣā A. See خاصه ḵẖāṣṣa. A. H. خاصا پنا ḵẖāṣā-panā, s. m. (dakh.) The being a peculiar servant (of a king, &c.): see خاصگي ḵẖāṣṣa-gī. A. P. خاصگي ḵẖāṣṣa-gī (from خاصه) s. f. Excel- lence, nobility.

خلالت ḵẖalālat H or ḵẖilālat or ḵẖulālat, s. f.

خطب ḵẖat̤b A s. m. 1. Marrying, betrothing, contracting a marriage. 2. A thing, cause, work.

خويش ḵẖẉesh P 1. pron. Self, own. 2. s. m. A kinsman. 3. A son-in-law, a family. خويش قرابات ḵẖẉesh ḳarābāt, Kinsmen, relations.

خيلا ḵẖelā S̱. (from کهيلنا) adj. A playful, foolish (girl). خيلا پاينچا ḵẖelā pāʼenchā, adj. Unstea- dy, foolish, inconsistent, unchaste (woman).
