خضاب ḵẖiẓāb A (from خضب) s. m. 1. Tinc- ture. 2. Tinging the nails and hair, but par- ticularly the beard. خضاب آهني کرنا ḵẖiẓāb-i-āhanī karnā, To shave the beard.

خبير ḵẖabīr A (from خبر) adj. Knowing, wise, skilful, learned.

خله ḵẖala P s. A long pole with which they im- pel a boat, perhaps a rudder, trifles, idle talk, any thing which penetrates or goes down in a place, as a needle, &c., a wind causing sharp pain in the belly, a pain that comes suddenly in the side and joints, any thing that passes away by degrees or slowly, a written document signed by a judge.

خرادي ḵẖarād-ī A. (from خراد) s. m. A turner.

خوشه ḵẖosha P s. m. 1. An ear of corn. 2. A bunch (of grapes, &c.). 3. An earing, a spike. خوشه چين ḵẖosha-chīn, A gleaner.

خوشنودي ḵẖụshnūd-ī P s. f. Good pleasure, sa- tisfaction.

خوشي ḵẖụsh-ī P s. f. Delight, pleasure, cheer- fulness, gayety, happiness, gladness, mirth, joy, will, choice. خوشي خوشي يا خوشي سي ḵẖụshī ḵẖụshī or ḵẖụshī-se, adj. Happily, with plea- sure, gladly, cheerfully, joyfully. خوشي کرنا ḵẖụsh-ī karnā, To rejoice or be delighted. خوشي گنانا ḵẖụsh-ī ginānā (dakh. i. q. جشن کرنا) To make a feast (?)

خدنگ ḵẖadang P s. m. A tree of which arrows are usually made; an arrow: the white poplar tree.

خوباني ḵẖūbānī P s. f. An apricot, or a dried apricot with the kernel of an almond inserted.

خيانت ḵẖiyānat A s. f. Perfidy, treachery, trea- son, knavery, embezzlement.
